ForeRun — Privacy Policy

ForeRun is a calm parenting assistant that quietly catches the small things — meals, reminders, activities, and food-safety checks — so they don't slip. This policy explains what ForeRun collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to make the app useful, and we never sell your data.

Who this is for

ForeRun is designed for parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children and is not intended to be used by children. Any information about a child is entered by you, the adult account holder, and is used only to personalize ForeRun for your household.

What we collect

Account: ForeRun creates an anonymous account so your data can sync to your device. If you upgrade, you may add an email and password.
Household details you enter: children's names (optional) and birthdays, feeding method, dietary restrictions and allergies, medications, meal plans, and your home ZIP code (for weather).
Activity within the app: the suggestions you act on, completion/points history, custom categories you create, and products you scan along with the "safe / avoid" verdicts you save.
Calendar (optional): if you connect Google Calendar, ForeRun reads that day's events to show alongside your day. This is read-only — ForeRun never edits your calendar. The access token is stored on your device, and calendar events are not stored on our servers.

How we use it

To generate reminders and suggestions tailored to your kids' ages, your restrictions, and the time of day.
To check scanned foods against your dietary restrictions and flag potential allergens.
To build packing lists and other context-aware help.
To deliver notifications (e.g., medication, pump, and defrost reminders) that you've enabled.

Service providers we share data with

We use a small set of trusted providers to run ForeRun. We share only what each needs:

Supabase — secure cloud database and authentication. Your data is protected by row-level security so it is only accessible to your account.
Expo — delivery of push notifications.
Open Food Facts — looks up product information by barcode when you scan. We send the barcode; we do not send your personal data.
Google — only if you connect Google Calendar, and only to read your events (read-only scope).
Anthropic — only if AI-assisted suggestions are enabled (off by default). When used, non-identifying context (such as a category, age range, and dietary restrictions) is sent to generate a suggestion; your name and account identifiers are not.
Apple / Google Play / RevenueCat — to process subscriptions, if you purchase one. Payment details are handled by the app store, not by ForeRun.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit. Your household data is isolated to your account using row-level security, so other users can never read or write it.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app, under Settings → About & Safety → Delete my account & data. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You may also request deletion by emailing support@suttlesolution.com, and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Settings, which removes the stored access token.
You can turn off non-essential reminders in Settings.
You can edit or remove household details (children, medications, restrictions) at any time.

Children's privacy

ForeRun does not knowingly collect information directly from children. Information about a child is provided by the parent or guardian who owns the account and is used solely to operate the app for that family. If you believe a child has used the app to provide information directly, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as ForeRun evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
